1. Who is responsible
Blockchain Slovenia Foundation is responsible for personal data that you send directly through the contact routes described on this website.
Privacy questions can be sent to contact@blockchainslovenia.foundation.
2. Information we may collect
We process information that you choose to provide through the general inquiry and partnership forms, including your name, email address, organisation, inquiry topic or partnership preference, and message.
Our hosting and security providers may also process limited technical information required to deliver and protect the website. This can include an internet protocol address, browser type, requested page, time of access and security logs.
The website does not currently provide user accounts or operate advertising trackers. If this changes, this policy will be updated.
3. Why we use information
We use information to:
- Answer questions and respond to partnership inquiries.
- Manage community, event and organisational communication.
- Protect the website and prevent misuse.
- Meet legal and administrative obligations.
- Improve the clarity and usefulness of our services.
Depending on the context, processing may be based on your request, your consent, our legitimate interest in operating the foundation and website, or a legal obligation.
4. How the inquiry forms work
When you submit a general inquiry or partnership application, the website sends the form contents to our server. The server validates the submission and forwards it to the Blockchain Slovenia team through the Telegram Bot API so that we can respond.
The website does not intentionally store completed form submissions in a website database. Telegram may retain the forwarded message in the relevant chat until it is deleted in accordance with the foundation’s communication and retention practices. Limited request information may also be processed temporarily for security and rate limiting.
5. Hosting and external services
The website uses Railway for hosting and the Telegram Bot API to deliver general inquiries and partnership applications to the foundation team. It also loads Google Fonts for typography and jsDelivr and GitHub hosted resources for the homepage map. These providers may receive technical request data required to deliver their services.
The website links to Telegram, LinkedIn, X and Instagram. Following those links takes you to services that process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Sharing and international processing
We do not sell personal data. Form information is shared with Railway and Telegram where needed to host the website, deliver the submission, maintain security and support foundation communication. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.
Some providers may process data outside Slovenia or the European Economic Area. Where required, appropriate safeguards should apply through the relevant provider arrangements.
7. How long information is kept
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain an appropriate record of communication, and to meet legal or administrative obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the inquiry or relationship.
8. Security
We take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect information. No internet service or email system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please avoid sending highly sensitive information through a general inquiry.
9. Your data protection rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to be informed, access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict processing, receive portable data, and object to certain processing.
You may contact us to exercise a right. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia. Further explanations of GDPR rights are available from the European Commission.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, providers or foundation activities change. The updated date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
11. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, use the general inquiry page or email contact@blockchainslovenia.foundation.
This policy reflects the website’s current technical setup and is a practical baseline. It should be reviewed by qualified Slovenian privacy counsel and updated when formal organisational details, providers or data practices change.
